Ingredients need to make Ramadan special khichdi recipe

  • 350 gms Chicken Breast Organic Hormone-Free Chicken
  • 4 tbsp pre-soaked masoor dal
  • 4 tbsp pre-soaked moong dal
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • Two medium potatoes
  • 2 medium onions, cut into pieces
  • 1 chili
  • 3 tsp ginger paste
  • 3 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp immunity powder
  • 1 kg turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • One tsp cumin powder
  • A pinch asafoetida
  • 2 dry red chilies
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cups water

Method of making Ramadan special khichdi recipe

  1. Wash and clean the chicken well and cut it into small pieces.
  2. Marinate with half the ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  3. Keep in the fridge (covered) for 45 minutes.
  4. Now take a pressure cooker and add ghee to it.
  5. After that add asafoetida, bay leaf, black pepper powder, dry red chili, cumin, fenugreek seeds, and mustard seeds, and let them crackle.
  6. Add chopped onions and green chilies and cook for 5 minutes.

  8. Then add ginger-garlic paste and fry till golden.
  9. Cover and let it cook well.
  10. Add the marinated chicken pieces and mix well so that all the pieces are done.

  13. Now add pre-soaked dal and rice to it.
  14. Now add 2 cups of hot water to it and mix well.
  15. Cover with a lid and pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
  16. Once done, serve hot with ghee.
