Ingredients need to make the Portuguese custard tart recipe (Pastis de Nata)
For Pastry Cream:
- 500 ml of milk
- 7 egg yolks
- 90 grams of castor sugar
- 75 grams cornflour
- 75 g butter
- 5 ml vanilla essence
For the puff pastry:
- 500 grams flour
- 500 g butter
- 5 grams salt
Method of making Portuguese custard tart recipe (Pastis de Nata)
- Boil milk and add the castor sugar. Put the egg yolk and cornflour in a bowl, add it to the boiling milk and mix well.
- Add butter and vanilla essence.
For the puff pastry:
- Mix 250 ml cold water and knead the flour and salt together.
