Ingredients need to make the litti chokha recipe

For Litti Dough:

  • 250 grams flour
  • 5 grams salt
  • Water (as needed)
  • 10 ml oil
  • For Feeling:
  • 50 grams sattu
  • 10 grams salt
  • 20 grams of mustard oil
  • 20 onions, sliced
  • 2 grams of fennel seeds
  • 2 grams celery
  • 5 grams pickle

For Aloo Chokha:

  • 250 g potatoes, boiled
  • 10 grams coriander, chopped
  • 5 grams chili, cut into pieces
  • salt to taste
  • 20 mustard oil
  • 2 whole red chilies

For the Tomato and Brinjal Chokha:

  • 100 grams tomatoes
  • 150 grams eggplant
  • 10 grams chili, cut into pieces
  • 10 grams coriander, finely chopped
  • 20 ml mustard oil
  • 5 ml lemon juice
  • 2 whole red chilies
  • 5 grams ginger, chopped
  • 50 ml ghee

Method of making litti chokha recipe

  1. To start with the litti dough, mix all the ingredients together and knead it into a dough. The dough should be tight. And keep it aside.
  2. To mix sattu, put sattu and all other ingredients in a pan and mix well. Check salt.
  3. Make a dough and hollow it out from the middle, put the sattu mixture inside, and close it well so that the stuffing does not come out. Keep aside.
  4. To make chokha, take off the skin after chargrilling tomatoes and brinjals. Place in a bowl and add all the ingredients. Mix everything well and check the salt.
  5. Litti is roasted or baked openly over the fire.
  6. Serve this dish with a bowl of ghee.
