Ingredients need to make chilli chicken gravy recipe

To marinate chicken:

  • 250-300 grams of boneless chicken
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • One tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Black pepper powder as per taste
  • Red chili powder (optional)

For gravy:

  • 1/4 cup Green Onion, chopped
  • 1/4 gram capsicum
  • 1 big onion, cut into pieces
  • 1 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 4-5 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1-inch ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Green Chili Sauce
  • One Tablespoon Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tbsp red chili sauce
  • 1 tsp cornflour (with water)

Method of making chilli chicken gravy recipe

For Marination

  1. Take a large mixing bowl, and add all dry ingredients along with chicken chunks and soy sauce, ginger garlic paste, egg, cornflour, and all-purpose flour.
  2. Mix well with the help of hands.
  3. Keep aside 15-20 minutes.

For Gravy

  1. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry all the chicken pieces. Keep aside. Now reduce oil in the same pan and fry ginger garlic paste.
  2. Then add vegetables like capsicum, onion, and green chili. Fry again on a medium flame for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Now reduce the flame and add cornflour solution to make the gravy thick. Now add all the sauce.
  4. Stir it and let it come to a boil. Ps: If you want extra gravy then you can add more water. Now add fried chicken to it and mix everything well. Sprinkle green onions and coriander leaves.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
