Ingredients need to make bhajiya usal recipe

To make it:

  • 1 cup vatana
  • 2 medium onion paste
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tomato puree
  • One tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 bay leaf a pinch asafoetida
  • One tbsp oil

To make Jiya:

  • 1 cup Fenugreek, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1.5 cup besan
  • Oil for frying

For assembling:

  • 1 cup sev
  • 1 Onion, cut into pieces
  • One tsp lemon juice

Method of making bhajiya usal recipe

  1. To make Usal, first heat oil in a pan, add cumin, asafoetida, and onion paste, and fry for some time. Add tomato puree to it and fry again for some time.
  2. Add all the spices and fry it. Now add boiled Vatana to it, add water and let it boil.
  3. Till then, mix gram flour, salt, green chili, and fenugreek in a bowl to make bhajiya. Add little water and make a smooth batter. And turn off the gas of Usal.
  4. Heat oil in another kadhai and make small bhajiyas from the prepared batter in it. Fry them till they become crispy and golden brown.
  5. For assembling: Place the Bhajiya on a plate and pour the prepared Usal on it. Garnish with some chopped onion, sev, and serve it.
