Ingredients need to make aloo kulcha recipe

  • 120 gms flour
  • 120 grams flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tsp ghee
  • 2 tbsp curd
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water (for kneading the dough)
  • 1-2 tsp sesame seeds

For the kulcha stuffing

  • 3 boiled potatoes
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped

Method of making aloo kulcha recipe

For the dough

  1. In a bowl take wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, 1 tsp sugar, and 1/4 to 1 tsp salt or as required. Add curd and oil.
  2. Mix all the ingredients lightly with a spoon or with your hands.
  3. Add water, the amount of water to mix depends on the quality of the flour. So, enter accordingly. Mix and then start kneading.
  4. Knead the soft and smooth dough. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 2 hours.

For Feeling:

  1. Add chopped green chilies, red chili powder, amchur powder, garam masala powder, and coriander leaves to the boiled potatoes.
  2. Mix spices and herbs well in mashed potatoes. Test the taste and if required add more salt, green chilies, and dry amchur powder.
  3. Roll out the dough into a round shape. Keep the masala in the middle. Put masala inside the dough and close it. Now roll it again.
  4. Cook the Kulcha on a tawa with ghee, making sure it is nice and crisp.
  5. Aloo Kulcha is ready!
