  • 2 tbsp almonds

  • 2 big onions, cut into pieces
  • Two large Tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 whole red chilies
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 small cardamoms
  • 1 cinnamon
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp red chili
  • 1 tsp coriander powder

Method of making biryani gravy recipe

  1. First dry roast peanuts, almonds, and sesame in a pan and keep aside.
  2. Now put half a tablespoon of oil in a pan and heat it, add two chopped onions and fry it lightly, along with it add two whole red chilies and chopped tomatoes and fry them.
  3. If it becomes a light rose, then turn off the gas and take it out in a mixer jar.
  4. Along with this, add pre-roasted almonds, sesame, and peanuts to it and make a smooth paste by adding a little water.
  5. Now heat oil in a pan, add cumin, clove, small cardamom, cinnamon, and bay leaf. After this add the prepared paste and mix.
  6. Mix turmeric powder, salt, red chili, coriander powder, garam masala well and fry for 2 minutes.
  7. Add water to it and cook it till it comes to the right consistency with the lid on.
  8. When the gravy becomes a little thick, turn off the flame and take it out in a serving bowl and enjoy with your biryani.
