  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup capsicum, finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup beans
  • 1/4 cup carrots
  • 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup peas
  • 1 tsp Ginger , finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Red chili powder as per taste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil

Method of making masala oats recipe

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai. Add cumin, ginger and chopped onion to it.
  2. Add peas along with onions and fry. When the peas and onions start showing light roses, then add tomatoes to it.
  3. Fry the tomatoes for two minutes and add red chili, coriander powder, turmeric and salt to it.
  4. Add oats to it and mix it in the spices. Add water and let it cook with the lid on.
  5. After five to seven minutes, remove the lid and garnish with green coriander.
  6. Take out in a serving bowl and enjoy masala oats.
