Ingredients need to make poha bhel recipe

  • 1/2 cup Onion , chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh coconut (finely grated)
  • One tsp salt
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 100 grams Poha Chivda

For tempering:

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • 10-12 curry leaves , chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

Method of making poha bhel recipe

  1. Mix onion, coconut, salt, sugar and lemon juice in a bowl.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan on medium heat.
  3. When the oil is hot, add asafoetida, curry leaves and green chilies and let it crackle for 4-5 seconds.
  4. Add turmeric powder to the pan and fry for 6-8 seconds.
  5. Pour the tempering over the onion coconut mixture and mix well.
  6. Put the poha chivda in a bowl and mix well. Serve immediately.
