  • 150 gms soybeans (whole)
  • 1 onion, cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp ginger, chopped
  • 2 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped green chili, finely chopped
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • Red chili powder as per taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp chaat masala
  • Refined oil

Method of making masala soyabean recipe

  1. Wash and soak soybeans overnight.
  2. Cook the soaked soybeans in a pressure cooker till they become soft.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped ginger and garlic to it. After it turns golden brown, add chopped onion and fry.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes to this mixture and cook till the tomatoes become soft.
  5. Add green chili, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and boiled beans and stir for two minutes.
  6. Now add two cups of water and let it boil for 10 minutes.
  7. Keep it on low flame, keep stirring in between till the water is almost gone.
  8. Sprinkle chaat masala over the beans and serve hot.
