Necessary ingredients need to make potato spinach curry recipe

  • Spinach – 500 grams (one bunch)
  • Potatoes – 3- 4 (medium size)
  • Tomatoes – 2-3
  • Green pepper – 2-3
  • Ginger – 1-inch long piece
  • Oil – 2 tablespoon
  • Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  • Cumin seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder – less than a quarter teaspoon
  • Gram flour – a small spoon
  • Cream or cream – one tablespoon
  • Red chili – less than a quarter teaspoon
  • Garam Masala – less than a quarter teaspoon
  • Salt – As per taste (3/4 tsp)

Method of making potato spinach curry recipe

  1. Break the stalk of the spinach and wash it thoroughly with clean water 2 times, put the washed spinach in the pan, add 1-2 tablespoons of water and cover it and boil it on a slow gas, the spinach boils very quickly, turn off the gas.
  2. After the spinach cools down, grind it with a grinder and make a fine paste.
  3. Peel and cut the potatoes into 2 pieces. 
  4. Cover and fry in the microwave. 3-4 minutes is enough. 
  5. Potatoes can also be boiled but roasted potatoes taste better.
  6. Make a paste by grinding tomatoes, green chilies, and ginger in a grinder.
  7. Put oil in a pan and heat it, fry it by adding potato oil and take out when it turns light brown, add asafoetida and cumin seeds to the remaining oil, after the cumin is brown, add turmeric powder and gram flour, then fry tomatoes, ginger pepper. 
  8. Add the pasta and cream and fry the spices till oil starts floating on it, add spinach paste, potato, salt, red chili, and garam masala to this roasted spice, after the vegetable comes to a boil 2- Cook for 3 minutes. 
  9. Your spinach potato vegetable is ready.
  10. Take out the vegetable in a bowl. 
  11. Serve hot potato potatoes with spinach curry chapatti, naan or rice and eat.
  12. If you like onion and garlic then after cumin turns brown, finely chop 2-3 garlic sticks and 1 onion and fry until light pink, add all the spices in the above order and make a vegetable.
