Materials need to make apple marmalade
- Apple – 800 grams
- Sugar – 1 kg
- Lemon – 2
- Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
Method of making apple marmalade
- To make apple marmalade, first, wash and clean the apple thoroughly and peel it off.
- After this, take water in a large vessel and place it on the gas, and heat it to a boil.
- When the water comes to a boil, add the peeled apples and cook till it becomes slightly soft.
- When the apples become soft, take them out with warm water.
- Then add sugar to the hot water of the apple and cook till it becomes a thick syrup.
- Once the sugar syrup is formed, add lemon juice and cardamom powder to it.
- Now put the cooked apples in the syrup and keep aside for 2 days, but keep stirring the jam in between.
- After 2 days your apple jam will be ready.
- This homemade apple marmalade can be kept in the refrigerator and eaten for 2 months.
- To keep it lasting for a long time, add 1 teaspoon of acetic acid to the syrup and mix well.
