Materials need to make apple marmalade

  • Apple – 800 grams
  • Sugar – 1 kg
  • Lemon – 2
  • Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp

Method of making apple marmalade

  1. To make apple marmalade, first, wash and clean the apple thoroughly and peel it off.
  2. After this, take water in a large vessel and place it on the gas, and heat it to a boil. 
  3. When the water comes to a boil, add the peeled apples and cook till it becomes slightly soft.
  4. When the apples become soft, take them out with warm water. 
  5. Then add sugar to the hot water of the apple and cook till it becomes a thick syrup. 
  6. Once the sugar syrup is formed, add lemon juice and cardamom powder to it.
  7. Now put the cooked apples in the syrup and keep aside for 2 days, but keep stirring the jam in between. 
  8. After 2 days your apple jam will be ready.
  9. This homemade apple marmalade can be kept in the refrigerator and eaten for 2 months. 
  10. To keep it lasting for a long time, add 1 teaspoon of acetic acid to the syrup and mix well.
