Sour-sweet mango papad: Mango is such a fruit that is liked by everyone. Therefore, the taste of anything made from mangoes is different. Like mango and milkshake made of mango, there is also a dessert that tastes exactly like mango. We call it “mango papad” in the common language.

Many people also know the common papad as Amavat. Mango papad is one of the childhood memories and stories of all of us. Like the memories of childhood, it also tastes absolutely sour and sweet. If you want, you can make it very easily at home too.

The way to make mango papad is very easy. So let’s know how common papad is made.

    

Necessary ingredients need to make Sour-sweet mango papad

  • Mango – 4 to 5 (1 kg)
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Lemon – 4, medium size

 

Method of making Sour-sweet mango papad

  1. To make mango papad, peel the ripe mango and cut it into small pieces. 
  2. Finely grind the mango pieces in the mixer and make a mango batter.
  3. Put mango batter and sugar in a vessel and leave it to cook for about 10 minutes. 
  4. On the boil, reduce the flame.
  5. For sourness, add lemon juice to a boil and turn off the gas.
  6. Grease a plate or tray by applying ghee, and spread the cooked solution on a plate, and spread it thin.
  7. Now keep this plate in the sun to dry for about 2 days (you should not cover it with any utensil, you can use cloth or mesh). 
  8. If it is not sunny, then you can dry mango papad in the fan air too.
  9. After leaving in the sun for 2 days, check whether your mango papad is dry or not. 
  10. If the papad has dried properly, then it will come out of the plate very easily without sticking.
  11. Now cut the mango papad into the desired shape. Sour-sweet mango papad is ready.

Suggestions for Sour-sweet mango papad

  • While cooking the mango papad solution, stir it continuously.
  • If the mangoes you have taken are a little sour then increase the sugar content slightly.
