Delicious Namkeen Lassi Recipe
Namkeen Lassi is a great cool drink to serve to reduce heat during the summer season. Making this very salty drink is very simple and very few ingredients are required to make it.
To make this simple lassi, only roasted cumin powder, salt and water are tossed together, and later it is added to the peppermint address or chaat masala powder as per your choice.
How to make lassi from curd

Materials need to make namkeen lassi:
- 2 cups plain dahi (500 ml)
- 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup water
Method of making namkeen lassi:
- Put 2 cups (500 ml) in a deep bowl.
- Add 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder to it.
- Add salt to it.
- Beat it using a churn or electric hand blender until it becomes soft and creamy.
- Add 1/2 cup of water to it.
- Beat again until it has a nice foamy layer on the top. Check the consistency of lassi and add more water if you like thin lassi.
- Remove it into two separate serving glasses and garnish with chopped green coriander (or peppermint address) and roasted cumin powder.
Suggestions and Variations of namkeen lassi:
- To roast cumin seeds, dry roast them in a pan until golden brown and smells good.
- Allow them to cool to room temperature and grind them later with a mixer grinder or trolley.
- Use the same cream and take care not to be sour.
- To make lassi, use churn in place of an electric blender.
- To make a change, add a pinch of dried peppermint addresses (or 1 tablespoon chopped fresh peppermint address) and 1 tablespoon chopped green coriander.
- For a change, add a pinch of chaat masala powder or black salt to it.
- Add more water to make thin lassi and less water to make thick lassi.
