Delicious Achari Paneer Casserole Recipe at Home

Delicious Achari Paneer Casserole and Hotel-like Achari Paneer Casserole easy to make at home.

Ingredients for Achari Paneer

  • 1 1/4 cups paneer cubes
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp kalonji
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 cup whipped yogurt
  • 1 tbsp ready-made green chili pickle
  • salt to taste

Other Ingredients for Achari Paneer Casserole

  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 to 2 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 1/2 tsp shajira
  • 2 cardamom
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients for Garnish

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

Method of making Achari Paneer Recipe

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, fenugreek seeds, cumin, kalonji, and fennel seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add turmeric powder and chili powder and turn off the heat.
  3. Add yogurt and mix well.
  4. Add green chili pickle and salt and mix well.
  5. Add the cheese cubes, mix gently, and set aside to marinate for 30 minutes.

How to make Achari Paneer Casserole

  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan, add cinnamon, cloves, shahjira, and cardamom.
  2. When the shahjiras start crackling, add rice and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring continuously.
  3. Add marinated cheese, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  4. Garnish with Achari Paneer Casserole Coriander and serve hot.

To make Achari Paneer

  1. To make Achari Paneer, first, take a deep non-stick pan, heat the oil, and add mustard.
  2. Add fenugreek seeds. They are very good for health.
  3. Add cumin seeds. Which gives a good taste to this recipe.
  4. Add Kalonji. It is also known as onion seed and is widely used in Bengali recipes.
  5. Add fennel seeds. It is an aromatic herb and gives a great taste to this recipe.
  6. Fry for 30 seconds on medium heat.
  7. Add turmeric powder.
  8. Add chili powder. It gives good color to the recipe and makes it spicy.
  9. Turn off the heat. Add yogurt. This makes the Marinette cream and also gives the cheese a base and a good sourness to the recipe.
  10. Mix well
  11. Add green chili pickle. It is available readymade in all supermarkets and is a very important and essential ingredient for this recipe.
  12. Add salt and mix well.
  13. Add cheese cubes. 
  14. Make sure that the cheese you use is really fresh and soft, if you feel that your cheese is not soft, keep it in hot water for a few hours and it will become soft.
  15. Mix gently This is very important or else the cubes of paneer will break.
  16. Cover it with a lid.
  17. Set aside to marinate for 30 minutes. This pickle helps to enhance the flavor of the cheese.

How to make Achari Paneer Casserole

  1. Take a wide non-stick pan, heat the oil, and add cinnamon.
  2. Add cloves.
  3. Add shajira. If you do not have these then you can always use cumin. But Shahzira definitely tastes better.
  4. Add cardamom.
  5. When Shahzira starts crackling, add rice. Make sure the rice is fully cooked as the undercooked will give a bad and raw taste and if overcooked it will be messy.
  6. Add salt.
  7. Mix well to get Achari Paneer Casserole.
  8. Cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring occasionally.
  9. Add marinated cheese.
  10. Mix the Achari Paneer Casserole gently or else the paneer pieces will break.
  11. Cook the Achari Paneer Casserole on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes while stirring occasionally.
