Materials need to make chole bhature


  • 250 gm Kabuli gram
  • 400 gm Maida
  • 50 gm semolina
  • 100 gm yogurt
  • 3/4 baking soda
  • 2 onions
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 piece ginger
  • 6-7 garlic
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 piece cinnamon
  • 2 cardamom
  • 1 fast address
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp red chili
  • 4 green chilies
  • 2 tsp oil
  • Salt to taste


Method of preparation – How to make Chole Bhature


  1. To make Bhatura, first of all, make Chollo. Now to make chickpeas, first, take the gram and soak it in water one night before making.
  2. The next day cleans the soaked gram with good water. Now put them in the cooker as well as add water as required, add a little salt and keep it on the gas to boil.
  3. Now finely chop the onion, tomato, ginger, and garlic and grind them well in the grinder. So that a paste is formed.
  4. After doing this, take the cauldron and keep it on the gas. Now put some oil in it, when the oil is hot, add little cumin seeds, add bay leaves, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, etc. and fry it well.
  5. Now add the onion-tomato mixture to this mixture. Mix well and leave it to cook for a while. When the oil starts separating and the masala is cooked then add boiled gram and water, salt, and chili.
  6. After doing so, leave the gram on the gas to cook. After a while, your hot chickpeas are ready.
  7. Now comes the turn of Bhaturo. To make Bhatura, take maida and semolina in a vessel, add yogurt, oil, baking soda, and a little salt. Add water to this mixture and knead it like flour.
  8. Take care to knead this dough a little. Keep it in a place for a while.
  9. Heat oil in a pan. Now take this dough with help of a rolling pin. Keep its size right. When billed, put it in hot oil and fry it like a poori. Bhatura will swell up. Now when it starts changing color after baking it, take it off and put it on the napkin.
  10. Do the same to all Bhaturo. Both your chickpeas and bhatura are ready.
