Dry Paneer Manchurian recipe:- Dry paneer is the best example of a combination of Manchurian Indian and Chinese food. This recipe is similar to Cabbage Manchurian, the only difference is that here, cheese has been used instead of Cabbage flower. It is very easy to make and can be served on a party occasion.

Dry Paneer Manchurian Recipe

Materials need to make Dry Paneer Manchurian recipe

  • 250 grams of cottage cheese
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons corn floor
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • oil
  • Salt, as per taste
  • 1/4 cup water
For Sauté:
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions (spring onion)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • Salt, as per taste

Method of making Dry Paneer Manchurian

  1. Cut the cheese into small square pieces. Prepare a thick batter by adding refined flour, cornflour, salt, ginger paste, garlic paste, and 1/4 cup of water in a bowl. Dip the paneer pieces in this solution and let it marinate for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Fry the marinated cheese pieces until golden.
  3. Spread the kitchen paper on a plate and take out the pieces of fried paneer on the plate.
Sauté Method:
  1. Take a wide mouth and thin bottom pot and heat 2 tbsp of oil in it on a medium flame. Add ginger paste and garlic paste and fry for 30 seconds.
  2. Add chopped green chili, chopped capsicum, and chopped onion and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, and salt. Add fried paneer pieces and green onions and mix well. Blend all the ingredients in a pan several times and cook on high heat for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Paneer Manchurian Dry is ready. Serve garnished with chopped green onions.
Suggestions and Variations:
  1. Chili sauce and soy sauce are important ingredients of any Manchurian recipe. Depending on your taste, you can increase or decrease the quantity of these two sauces.
  2. The prepared solution should neither be too thick nor too thin. The diluted solution will not cover the paneer well and the thick solution will not make the paneer crisp.
  3. If you live in a place where cheese is not available, then you can make it at home or use tofu instead of cheese.

How to serve: Serve it as a starter with tomato ketchup and chili sauce. It is also preferred in evening snacks. Or Serve it with delicious Paneer Biryani or Paneer Fried Rice or Paneer Kulcha
