Necessary Ingredients to make Chicken changezi recipe

  • Half pound chopped chicken pieces
  • 3 chopped onions
  • 10 to 15 cashew nuts
  • 30 grams desi ghee
  • 2 cups of milk
  • One tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 tomatoes grated
  • Half a teaspoon red chili powder
  • One tablespoon coriander powder
  • Half tablespoon garam masala
  • Half cup fresh cream
  • Half tablespoon Chaat Masala
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2-inch grated ginger
  • 2 green chilies, cut into lengths
  • Half tablespoon Kasuri Methi
  • 2 boiled and chopped eggs
  • Roast in 20 to 25 ghee
  • Salt to taste

For decoration
  • Garnish the chicken with roasted makhanas and boiled eggs and serve.

Method of making Chicken changezi recipe

  1. Fry the chicken pieces well in a pan and take them out on a plate.
  2. Heat ghee in a separate pan and fry the onions well.
  3. Heat ghee in a vessel and add ginger-garlic paste, grated tomatoes, milk, coriander powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. 
  4. Let it cook on medium heat for 10 minutes.
  5. Now put roasted onion and cashew in a mixer jar and grind it with a little water to make a thick paste.
  6. After that, add cashew and onion paste, cooked with chaat masala and salt to the milk mixture, and cook for 6 to 8 minutes.
  7. In this gravy, add cream, fenugreek, green chilies, grated ginger, lemon and mix well, and add roasted chicken pieces. Cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
  8. Chicken Genghi is ready. Serve it hot with roti or egg biryani.
