Easy Chocolate no-bake Cookies Recipe at Home
Classic and Easy Chocolate no-bake Cookies with Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Oats are made in minutes and with ingredients already in your pantry!
We whip up a batch of classic Chocolate No Bake Cookies while we are craving the cookie, but do not feel that we turn on the oven! They are also perfect for times when you need last-minute treatment to bring a friend home or serve guests that have been announced.
What are the ingredients for a bake cookies?
The ingredients for cookies not baked chocolate are butter, sugar, cocoa powder, milk, peanut butter, vanilla extracts, and quick-baking oats.
Step One: Butter
Start by melting a stick of butter in a large pot over medium heat.
Step Two: Chocolate Sauce
Chocolate sauce for these chocolates begins with adding sugar, cocoa powder, and milk to the melting butter. Boil this mixture and allow it to boil for a minute.
Step Three: Peanut Butter
After boiling the chocolate mixture, remove it from the heat and stir in creamy peanut butter and vanilla extracts.
Step Four: Oats
Once peanut butter has been added to the chocolate mixture, stir in the oats.
You can add more or fewer oats depending on the chocolate-y (fewer oats) or firm (more oats) that you like that you don’t have any bets.
Can you use old-fashioned oats in unbaked cookies?
Yes! You can use old-fashioned oats (also known as rolled oats) or quick-cooking oats in unbaked cookies. Quick-cooking oats are largely old fashioned oats. Using old-fashioned oats will give more texture to cookies and allow them to chew.
I like to use quick-cooking oats when making chocolate not baked cookies for my family.
Step Five: Form Cookies
Once the cookie dough comes together, spoon it on parchment paper (or using a dough scoop). You want to work quickly to make cookies before the chocolate hardens.

Can you keep no baked cookies in the fridge to harden?
Yes! If you are in a hurry and need to cool and set/harden quickly, you cannot bake the chocolate in the fridge without hardening it.
Can you use crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy?
Yes, you can make peanut butter crunchy to make uncooked cookies. We love the texture of chopped peanuts.

Material to make Easy Chocolate no-bake Cookies
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
Instruction to make Easy Chocolate no-bake Cookies
- On medium heat melt butter in a large pot.
- Stir in sugar, cocoa powder, and milk. Stirring often, to bring to a boil. Then, boil for a minute.
- Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla extract.
- Stir in the quick-cooking oats.
- Working quickly, drop with a large spoon on parchment paper and allow to cool. The Heaping Spoon makes about 18 large cookies. For small cookies use a small scoop of flour.
