Jeera rice recipe at home restaurant style. Cumin rice or cumin casserole made from whole spices and cumin flavor is easy to make the casserole. Serve it with lentils, vegetables, or curries or only with pickles. They look delicious in every way.

Ingredients for Jeera rice

  • Basmati rice – 1 cup
  • Ghee or oil – 2 -3 tablespoons
  • Coriander leaves – 2-3 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon full up
  • Lemon – 1
  • Whole Spices – 1 big cardamom, 4 long, 7-8 black pepper, and 1-inch cinnamon slice
  • Salt – 1 tsp (as per taste)

How to make jeera rice

  1. Clean the rice and wash and soak it in water for 1/2 hour. Remove the excess water from the rice after half an hour.
  2. Heat ghee in a vessel, when the ghee is hot, add cumin seeds and fry it lightly (cumin should not be black), add whole spices, lentils, black pepper, long and cardamom and fry it lightly, soaked rice Put it.
  3. Fry 2 minutes after adding the rice to the spices and stirring continuously with a spoon. Now add 2 cups of water, add salt and squeeze the lemon juice and add it to the rice (adding lemon juice improves the color and taste of the rice), mix well, stir the rice for 5 minutes on a slow fire Let it cook, after 5 minutes open the rice and check, stir the rice well.
  4. Cover the rice again and let it cook again on a low flame for 5 minutes, open and check the rice, the rice is not fully cooked, now the water is showing in the rice, stir the rice and cover it and cook for 3-4 minutes again. Come, check the rice, the water in the rice is over, the rice has become soft and long, the rice has been made. Turn the gas off.
  5. Cover the rice and leave it for 10-15 minutes in the same vessel. After 15 minutes, the cumin rice is in full bloom, add green coriander over the cumin rice and garnish, serve and eat.
  • If rice is cooked on a high fire, the rice will not cook well in so much water due to evaporation. Rice has to be cooked on a slow fire.
