Shahi Paneer is the oldest cheese dish. Whether it is a wedding party or some other celebration, Shahi Paneer has always been the most important dish. We will definitely say that 8 times out of 10, you must have ordered Shahi Paneer in your lunch or dinner.
This method has been tested and tested many times in our kitchen. Seeing the sun-like color sinking with the same taste every time, the mouth gets watery.
No separate Shahi Paneer masala is needed to make it. We will use simple spices that are common in any Indian kitchen.
Shahi Paneer and Paneer Makhani are two different made vegetables. The difference in taste and taste in them is due to the way and ingredients of their preparation.

Instructions to make Shahi Paneer

Tomato Onion Paste Cooking Time – 13 minutes
  1. Now we start the process of making. Heat 3.5 tablespoons (Tbsp) oil in a pan on high heat for 1 minute.
  2. Now remove the cardamom seeds and keep them aside.
  3. After 1 minute, add chopped onions, cardamom seeds, and green spices to the hot oil. Mix well.
  4. Wait until the onion turns pink. Keep the stove high. It will take 4 minutes.
  5. After 4 minutes, add chopped tomatoes and mix well. Allow the tomatoes to cook until soft. It will also take 4 minutes.
  6. When the process is over, take out the tomato and onion mixture on a plate with hot oil. Turn off the stove.
  7. Keep this mixture aside to cool for 3 minutes. And keep the hot oil aside, we will use this oil later.
  8. When the mixture cools down, grind it to a soft paste.
  9. Make sure that there is no thick tomato or onion slice in this paste. It should be a soft and nice paste.
Cooking time of Shahi Paneer / Gravy – 12 minutes
Heat the remaining oil for 1 minute. No more oil is needed.
  1. After 1 minute, add tomato and onion paste and cook on high heat. Stir it continuously for 1 minute.
  2. After 1 minute, add tomato sauce, salt, red chili powder, black salt, and turmeric powder and mix well.
  3. Turn the stove to medium flame. Wait until the oil and mixture separate. Stir it continuously. It will take 5 minutes.
  4. The oil will start appearing separately on the surface of the pan when it is separated from the tomato-onion paste.
  5. After 5 minutes add milk and 1 cup (1 cup = 240 ml) of water. Keep the stove on medium flame and cook it for 3 minutes.
  6. After 3 minutes, add cream and garam masala. Cook it on medium heat for 2 minutes.
  7. Shahi paneer curry is ready. Now add cottage cheese.
Time to mix the paneer in the curry – 5 minutes
  1. Cut the paneer into small pieces.
  2. Now add cheese pieces to the curry and mix well. Now cook it on medium heat for 5 minutes.
  3. When this process is over, turn off the stove.
  4. Now put coriander leaves on it and now it is ready to serve.
Storage and Serving Suggestions
  • Pour green coriander leaves over the Shahi Paneer before serving.
  • Shahi Paneer is served mostly with Garlic Naan (make Naan in cooker), Tandoori Roti, or Puri Poori.
  • Serve it with Delicious Paneer Kulcha or Paneer Biryani Or Paneer Fried Rice.
