Ingredients for making Pav Bhaji at home

  • Boiled Potatoes –     3 (300 grams)
  • Tomato –                  6 (400 grams)
  • Capsicum –              1 (100 grams)
  • Cauliflower –           1 cup chopped (200 grams)
  • Peas –                       1/2 cup
  • Coriander –              3-4 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Butter –                    1/2 cup (100 grams)
  • Ginger paste –          1 tsp
  • Green chili –            2 (finely chopped)
  • Turmeric Powder –  1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  • Pav Bhaji Masala –  2 tsp
  • Red chili –               1 small spoon
  • Salt –                       1.5 tsp or as per taste

How to make Pav Bhaji at home

  1. To make pav bhaji, wash the cabbage well and chop it finely. Put cauliflower and peas in a vessel, add 1 cup of water and let it cook till it becomes soft.
  2. Peel the potatoes, finely chop the tomatoes and remove the capsicum seeds and prepare them by chopping them finely.
  3. Check the cabbage peas and they are ready to turn off the gas.
  4. Heat a pan, put 2 tablespoons butter and melt it, add ginger paste and green chilies and fry it lightly. 
  5. Now add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and capsicum, mix it, cover it, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Check the vegetables, tomato capsicum is ready after softening. 
  7. Now mash them with the help of a masher. 
  8. Now add cabbage and peas and cook it while mashing it well.
  9. The vegetable has mashed well, now break the potatoes by hand, add salt, red chili, and pav bhaji masala, and cook it a little while mashing the bhaji with the help of a masher. 
  10. Add half a cup of water and water as required, the vegetables should be a bit thin, and cook the vegetables while stirring them till the vegetable mixture starts to look mixed.
  11. Add some green coriander and 1 teaspoon of butter to the bhaji. Bhaji is ready, take it out in a bowl, and garnish with butter and green coriander.

  13. Heat a griddle on the gas. Such a bread knife to cut through it to be connected to the other side. 
  14. Pour some batter on the pan and pour pav over it, roast it lightly on both sides. 
  15. Take out the roasted pavs on a plate and similarly prepare all the pavs as well.
  16. Serve and eat hot pav bhaji.
