Ingredients for Tiranga Kalakand

  • 300 ml (ml) milk 
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 cup of sugar 
  • 1/2 tsp lemon flower
  • 1/2 cup pistachio 
  • 0.5 g saffron
  • Almond Flakes for Garnishing

Method of making Tricolor kalakand 

  1. First of all, make a separate paste of pistachios and soak saffron in 50 ml warm milk.
  2. Let boil the milk in medium flame. Then add lemon flowers in the water and let them dissolve and then add sugar to it and add it slowly to the milk. Now let it boil.
  3. Then when the cheese starts separating from the milk, then reduce the heat. Then mix the mixture and filter it with a sieve and keep its extra water aside for exhaling.
  4. Now divide this mixture into three parts. Then take the first part of the mixture and add pistachio paste, cardamom powder and mix it well. Then place it in a tray.
  5. Then take cardamom powder after taking second part and mix it well, put it on the tray.
  6. Now take the third part and mix well the milk of saffron and cardamom, layer it in a tray.
  7. Then keep the tricolor in the refrigerator for about an hour to set. Now take that out and cut it into pieces.
  8. Now place it on a plate and garnish it with pistachios, almonds, and saffron.
